There is a short list of things that can just bring you to a halt. A pounding headache is one of them. In many cases, over-the-counter medication can provide relief. Unfortunately, that is not always a remedy when you’re dealing with an extreme migraine or tension headache.
The onset of a bad headache or migraine can be triggered by a wide variety of sources. Popular triggers include; food, smells, alcohol, stress, hormones, and weather changes. Regardless of the reason why it started, everyone wants the ride to come to an end as quickly as possible.

- Migraines – an intense pain that is usually confined to one side of the head and often associated with nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light.
- Tension headaches – pressure or throbbing that encircles the head, pain may feel worse on the forehead above the eyebrows, or at the base of the neck.
